Getting Started on CareAcademy

The certificates are not counted yet towards your CNA continuing education credits.  CareAcademy has applied for CEUs in California and we will know soon if those are eligible. We will let you know when we have these credits available.

On the CareAcademy platform you may be asked to complete a number of different assignments. Such as discussion or assignment where you may have to respond. For discussions:   1) Click the “+” sign and add your information    2) Add your discussion information. For  assignments where you have to submit a plan or information: There are two ways to complete an assignment: 1) You can click the box below the assignment and type into the box. 2) After you’ve finished, click “submit assignments”

After you finish a test, you will see your results and if you have passed with an 80% or greater you will then receive a certificate from CareAcademy. Once you pass, CareAcademy will email you a certificate of completion and your employing agency also receive a copy as well.

As much as we’d love to meet you in person, at this time we do not currently offer in person classes. If you work with our partner agencies we’ll visit often and we will be there so look for us on Twitter to learn more about CareAcademy!

You can complete your training using a laptop, a smartphone (Android, Windows, or iPhone), or other mobile device.

No. Your CareAcademy training classes are available anytime. Whenever you are ready, simply sign in anytime to your account to get started. 

This is typically due to the speed of your internet connection or your mobile device/computer memory. Here are suggestions to help your classes load faster:
  1. Try another connection or get in touch with your internet provider to learn more about your connection speed.
  2. Use the latest version of your phone or computer system.
  3. Shut down programs that may conflict with your downloading and playing of videos.
  4. After shutting down programs, try restarting your device or computer.

Classes will begin on your own time, according to your schedule. This gives you flexibility you need to complete classes when you have some time throughout your day.

Yes, we know caregivers are busy. That’s why we’ve made every class takes 45 minutes to an hour and a half to complete. After the class, there is a test to see how much you have learned about each skill.

This is typically due to the speed of your internet connection or your mobile device/computer memory. Here are suggestions to help your classes load faster:
