CareAcademy Named to the 2021 Inc. 5000, Annual Ranking of the Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America

BOSTON, August 17, 2021 – Inc. magazine today revealed that CareAcademy, maker of the leading home care and home health workforce empowerment platform, ranked No. 1507 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses.

“The last year has truly been the year of home care and we’re honored that CareAcademy has been recognized with this ranking,” said Helen Adeosun, founder and CEO of CareAcademy. “Throughout the pandemic, we have witnessed the strength and resilience of the direct care worker community and the network of home care agencies committed to caring for our most vulnerable populations. As care in home and community takes center stage, we’re excited about the future of healthcare and to uplift and elevate those who do the essential work of caring.”

CareAcademy is committed to addressing critical staffing shortages across the industry and enabling home care to reach its fullest potential within the healthcare ecosystem. The company’s significant growth has in part come from its ability to pivot and adapt to a shifting healthcare landscape. For example, CareAcademy launched a free COVID-19 class in March of 2020 that has now educated over 45,000 direct care workers on how to protect themselves and their clients from the virus at the onset of the pandemic. It also released a free class on the COVID-19 vaccine to promote education, combat misinformation, and encourage vaccinations among healthcare workers. Most recently, CareAcademy launched the first-of-its-kind CAREer Path Initiative to create accelerated pathways to higher education for direct care workers.

“The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we’ve lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people.”

Not only have the companies on the 2021 Inc. 5000 been very competitive within their markets, but this year’s list also proved especially resilient and flexible given 2020’s unprecedented challenges. Among the 5,000, the average median three-year growth rate soared to 543 percent, and median revenue reached $11.1 million. Together, those companies added more than 610,000 jobs over the past three years.
