Home Health Aide Certification Program

The CareAcademy HHA Certification Program uses an innovative, blended training model to certify new home health aides (HHA). The foundation of the program is a competency-based curriculum that meets the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Conditions of Participation for Home Health Aide Services (42 CFR § 484.80).

The program begins with an in-person orientation, in which participants are introduced to the program’s goals and structure. The curriculum includes:

  • 59 hours of CareAcademy online classes
  • 17+ hours of in-person training and skills practice (with your own instructor)
  • Instructor manual and lesson plans to deliver in-person skills training
  • The sixth week culminates with an end-of-program knowledge exam.

Automated Reminders Ensure High Class Completion

Go on vacation! Automatic smart reminders ensure on-time class completion based on your state and company requirements. This combined with the convenience of taking classes on a smartphone result in a 92% class completion rate!

Never Re-Train New Hires

Caregivers today typically work with multiple home care agencies.  We give caregivers the power to access their completion records after they’ve left an agency, and easily send that certificate of completion to you.  Never waste time re-training your new hires again.
