From our CEO and Founder, Helen Adeosun:
I started CareAcademy with a simple idea: to empower caregivers to learn how to deliver the best care to older adults with the support, guidance, and compassion needed to improve their quality of life. We would then make it easy for caregivers to “upskill” and continue their education over time to better serve clients and advance their careers. As a result Home Care and Home Health agencies would have the skilled resources available to deliver better care, and better outcomes for their clients.
Today, CareAcademy provides home care and home health agencies with a best-in-class online education platform that delivers engaging video-based classes and real world scenarios that walk through aspects of the caregiver experience. We now train thousands of caregivers each month, helping them deliver the best care possible. Best of all, we provide the extra set of hands Agencies need to manage caregiver training so they can acquire and retain the talent needed to grow their business.
Our mission is to help agencies and caregivers provide excellent care to their clients and improve client outcomes. We are proud to work with thousands of agencies, franchisors and caregivers nationwide to accomplish this goal everyday.
Our Leadership Team
Helen Adeosun, EdM
Helen Adeosun, CEO and Founder of CareAcademy, has had a career in driving outcomes for adult learners and has been listed as one of Fortune’s 2020 40 Under 40 in Health.
She has first-hand experience as a caregiver and has worked with Teach for America, Boston Public Schools, and Pearson Education as well as a number of companies focused on caregiving issues. She holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in Politics and Arabic Studies and an EdM. from Harvard University in Education Policy and Management.
SVP of Marketing
Aaron brings nearly 20 years of experience running marketing programs and developing Go To Market (GTM) strategy for high growth venture funded companies and publicly traded global organizations.
He focuses on connecting marketing performance to sales achievement through transformational go-to-market strategies that create efficient scale. Under his leadership, his teams have created rapid growth, won numerous awards for GTM excellence, and created new market categories.
Previously Aaron served as the VP of Product Marketing for Datto, a pre-IPO Vista Equity-backed “software unicorn” (a company having achieved a valuation of $1B or greater), where he led the launch of numerous new products to a global network reaching over 1 million small businesses. Previously he was the SVP of Marketing for SnapApp through its Series B investment, and the Chief Marketing Officer for Intronis where he led a repositioning and re-packaging of the company’s product line driving accelerated growth and ultimately leading to the company’s successful acquisition by Barracuda Networks. Aaron is a frequent industry speaker and an Advisor to a number of technology companies including Jobiak.ai, helping the company launch its innovative recruitment optimization platform. He holds a BA from Hamilton College and earned his MBA with honors from Boston University.
Compliance & Policy Development Manager
Erika Sessions works to aggregate compliance requirements and best practices for home care providers in senior care. Through partnership development, regulatory research, and resource creation, she strives to contribute to data-driven policy change and workforce transformation.
Erika comes from a diverse professional background and enjoys learning every facet of an organization. As a big picture strategist, her appreciation and mastery of minutia aid this detail-driven role. Erika has a BA in Environmental Science from the University of Denver and was originally drawn to the healthcare industry through personal experience ultimately achieving her Masters of Science in Healthcare Management at the Oregon Health and Science University.
Chief Technology Officer
Yvan is passionate about building world-class product teams in order to develop and help take innovative products to market. He was Director of Product at Jana Mobile, where he oversaw the monetization of Jana’s recent app.
Prior to Jana, he was a technical co-founder at NewTrax Technologies, a world leader in underground mining technology, and an early employee at People Power company, creator of the app Presence and a leader in IoT cloud technology. He holds a B.Eng from McGill University and an MBA from INSEAD.
Content and Production Director
Michelle oversees content development and production of the CareAcademy class library. She is passionate about developing top-notch educational products and solutions that engage learners and address their training needs.
Michelle has held a number of specialized roles in educational and academic publishing and technology, including having worked for Ascend Learning, DeGruyter, and Pearson Education. Prior to joining CareAcademy, she managed product development for Recert, an online continuing education service for prehospital care providers. Michelle earned her undergraduate degree in drama from Tufts University.
Jessica oversees the design and implementation of CareAcademy’s processes for measuring caregiver and care recipient outcomes.
As an experienced long-term care researcher, she is passionate about linking better quality care and care experiences for older adults to the social supports that lend them and their families the support needed to allow them to better age-in-place.
Before joining CareAcademy, Jessica served as an assistant project manager for a multi-million dollar CMS evaluation for a nursing facility initiative, while also being a contributor to various qualitative and quantitative research teams. Jessica earned her undergraduate degree in Math and Political Science from Emory University.
SVP of Sales & Business Development
Jennifer Waldron has over a decade of experience in sales and business development with senior care owners and operators.
After being a professional caregiver working in a memory care community, Jennifer was driven to help senior care businesses meet caregivers where they are while helping business owners find operational efficiency through education technology.
Director of Customer Success
Lily has been a part of the CareAcademy team since 2017 and is passionate about improving communication and efficiency in our operations and customer success departments.
With 7+ years of experience in the health care operations and strategy, Lily is focused on ensuring our customers succeed with CareAcademy’s online training. She holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis and earned her MBA with honors from Boston University.
