Shared Training History

Eliminate Redundant Training & Accelerate Onboarding with Shared Training History

As one of the most essential yet strained segments of healthcare, the direct care workforce is not only overburdened but also experiencing a critical shortage. We’re building solutions to ease that burden through the CareSync by CareAcademy product vision - Shared Training History will be the first of its kind capability that helps both employers and caregivers save time, money, and help those needing care faster.

So what is Shared Training History?

Shared Training History is a native capability available to all CareAcademy customers that enables employers to view and apply caregiver training completions from any organization that currently uses—or has previously used—CareAcademy. Any training a caregiver has completed, whether with a current or past employer, now travels with them.

Employers no longer need to retrain caregivers on previously completed applicable training, and caregivers don’t have to repeat relevant courses. Administrators can view shared records, verify certificates, and waive redundant classes directly within the platform.

Shared Training History is the first capability released as part of CareSync by CareAcademy—our product vision to create a connected, credentialed, and elevated direct care workforce!

Why Shared Training History Matters

Traditionally, onboarding a new caregiver meant starting from square one—even if they’d already completed similar training with another employer. The result? Lost time, lost revenue, and caregiver frustration.

Shared Training History changes that.

For Employers:

  • Faster Onboarding: Apply past CareAcademy training completions to meet initial requirements, allowing new hires to begin working sooner.
  • Lower Training Costs: Avoid redundant coursework and associated costs, saving hours of paid training time per hire.
  • Audit-Ready Documentation: Access valid training certificates and time-stamped completion records—even if the training occurred with another employer.
  • Streamlined Workflows: Waive individual classes with just a few clicks directly in the CareAcademy Platform.

For Caregivers:

  • Less Repetition: No more retaking the same courses for each employer—spend your time on new training and skill development.
  • Recognition for Work Already Done: Prior learning is validated and applicable ensuring you get to work faster.
  • Increased Mobility: With portable credentials, caregivers gain professionalism in their field and can more easily move between employers, pick up additional shifts, and advance their career.

Measurable Impact from Day One

In our 30-day beta program, customers waived more than 186+ hours of training using Shared Training History—hours that would have otherwise cost time, money, and caregiver morale. On average, that’s more than 4.2 hours saved per caregiver, and 18.5+ hours saved per organization in just a few weeks.

And this is just the beginning.

How It Works

Shared Training History is now live for all CareAcademy customers. When you add a new caregiver—or review an existing team member—you’ll see a new section in the dashboard displaying CareAcademy training completed outside your organization. Matching is done automatically using a combination of name, email, and phone number—no paperwork, no guesswork. Admins can then choose to waive applicable classes, with full visibility into course details and certificates.
