  • Private-Pay Caregivers: There are no specific training requirements for private-pay non-medical caregivers.
  • Personal Care Assistants (PCAs): Agencies must use a state standardized curriculum for initial PCA training. No other training options are currently accepted for initial training.
  • Home Health Aides (HHAs): Initial training requires 75 hours, including 16 clinical hours. Agencies must be approved to provide HHA training.

  • Personal Care Assistants (PCAs): No annual training requirements currently.
  • Home Health Aides (HHAs): 12 hours of annual training are required for HHAs.
