Our Story

At CareAcademy we’re focused on supporting the needs of in-home caregivers and the families they work with. My name is Helen Adeosun and I founded CareAcademy while working as a nanny and a caregiver of older adults. There were many moments when I struggled with issues relating to my charges’ behavior, feeding, and supporting their often complex needs, not to mention my employers’. Caregiving can be both a rewarding and challenging career path and my experiences led me to to create a destination for caregivers to learn and be prepared for their important day-to-day work. I then met my now Co-Founder Madhuri Reddy, MD, who was encountering similar issues when witnessing the difficulties her elder patients’ families were having finding suitable in-home caregivers for their loved ones.

We believe in caregivers and their ability to have a positive impact on families. We also know that…

  • Caring is hard work
  • It is hard to find an in-home caregiver (for children or seniors) who is trained, prepared and trustworthy;
  • There is no universally accepted and trusted credential for in-home caregivers
  • Educational resources for in-home caregivers are scarce; and
  • Families don’t come with an HR office.

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your journey!
