Hours: 40, topic specific, variable due dates
Deadline
- 20 hours due prior to interacting with residents
- Must include 6 hours in dementia care
- Must include 4 hours in postural supports, restricted health conditions, and hospice care
- 20 hours due within the first 4 weeks of hire
- Must include 16 hours of hands-on skills training
- Must include 6 hours in dementia care

California RCFE training for new hires

CareAcademy helps you maintain compliance with Title 22, with 27+ hours of online training content for new hires.

CARE0600 - Overview of Nutrition & Food Preparation
CARE0400 - Assisting with Independent Living Through IADLs

Continuing education for direct care staff

Choose from 20+ classes approved by the California Department of Social Services Training Program Review Unite for CNA continuing education.

Class options include:

CARE0500 - Overview of Cancer Care
CARE0504 - Overview of End of Life Care
CARE1204 - Safety in Dementia

Continuing education for RCFE administrators

Department Approval is required by training vendors, and we currently do not offer that specific approval. Continuing education hours must be sufficiently related by subject matter and logic to the Core of Knowledge, current and relevant to facility operations and care, and completed through courses approved for residential care facility for the elderly administrators by the Department.

However, CareAcademy offers 40+ CE classes and topics approved by the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB).
