Florida Home Health Aide Training
Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) in Florida need to complete 40-hours of required training if working for a state-approved agency or 75-hours of blended training if working for a federally licensed home health agency. State Licensed Home Health Agencies and Federally Licensed Home Health Agencies have separate requirements for Home Health Aides.
The CareAcademy HHA curriculum is a blended training solution ideal to recruit and onboard new HHAs when distance learning is ideal for pandemic safety considerations. Blended training is a fusion of online and in-person content maximizing independent, distance learning while allowing for flexible scheduling for in-person training.
The online portion is intended to be offered in bite-sized, incremental blocks alongside weekly in-person sessions to discuss and practice the didactic portion of the material. Each week, the RN instructor will release the next set of classes to the students, then meet with them during the week to cover the in-person content.
