Number of hours to meet the requirement for initial onboarding training

  • Direct Care Workers: Initial training hours are topic-specific. Competency must be determined and documented prior to providing services.

  • Sexual Harassment Training: Continuing education is required biennially (every 2 years) for employers with 50 or more employees. This training can be repeated for continuing education credits.
  • Direct Care Workers: Continuing education is required annually, and competency must be documented, though no specific hours are specified.
  • Home Health Aides (HHAs): 12 hours of annual training in specific topic areas.

Caregivers can get the following training through CareAcademy
