What do you need to know about caregiver training requirements?

Caregiver training requirements in Idaho depend on whether the caregiver is working for a private-pay or public-pay agency and whether they are a Direct Care Worker, Home Health Aide, or another role. Private-pay agencies do not have state-mandated training requirements, while public-pay agencies, such as those under the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare, have specific training and continuing education requirements for Direct Care Workers.
